Angela and Dominic are a sister and brother cared for by their grandmother.  She sells tamales and chuchitos earning $7 CAD each day.  From this she must pay any household expenses plus purchase food from what is left.  There is no money to pay for school supplies, shoes,  or inscription fees,

With a sponsorship, each child receives a uniform if required, two pair of shoes (one for physical education and one for daily wear), a backpack, all their school supplies and payment of inscription fees.  Most importantly, they receive an education that promises a better future and escape from the daily grind of poverty.
