As we have all experienced in Canada, food and building materials (especially wood) costs continue to rise and this is being felt as strongly in Guatemala.  It has always been a struggle for families in Guatemala to put food on the table.  Getting adequate nutrition is even more difficult now in the face of inadequate work and poor wages versus soaring prices.

Our service provider, Fundación Familia Maya, has for several months been absorbing these increases.  But as for any business, you can only do this for so long.  To ensure sustainability of the programs and to serve the community effectively, pricing changes have had to be implemented.  These are reflected in the updated pricing pages www.fundamayacanada.ca/products.
