Students love to receive letters and photos from their sponsors.  They get to learn a little bit about you and in their responses you will learn more about them.  Our students write letters to sponsors each time they bring in their report card, receive a gift from you, or receive medical or emergency food assistance.  You can show your appreciation and support by sending one back.

Guatemala does not have a functioning postal service, so how do you get your letters and photos to the student?  Simply send an email to lois@fundamayacanada.ca and attach any photos and your letter.  In the subject line of the email note the individual to whom it is being sent and their ID number.  This will be forwarded for translation and distribution.  You will receive photos of the student reading your letter and sending one back of their own.

End Result - Huge smiles at both ends of the communication!
